(Minneapolis, Minnesota) – November 1, 2012) Centrex Rehab, a Minneapolis-based provider of integrated therapy services, will officially begin serving the Midwest senior living and health care markets on November 1, 2012.
Centrex Rehab was created as a joint venture between Augustana Care and Ebenezer, two leading health care and senior living organizations based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Centrex addresses the needs of the evolving health care market—specifically the therapy needs of the older adult and senior services providers who are focused on serving the integrated care models.
As the healthcare industry advances towards “population health” models, Centrex Rehab will provide a broad range of therapy solutions for senior housing, assisted living, skilled nursing communities, smaller hospitals, clinics and other venues that follow a model similar to a provider network. Centrex Rehab will be focused on three goals: better health for population; better care for individuals; and lower cost through improvement.
Centrex Rehab provides a robust offering of dynamic therapy solutions including:
• Contract provision of full service rehabilitation: management, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
• Staffing and recruiting to fill open positions, or meeting short-term or long-term staffing needs in any setting.
• Management consultation.
• Medicare compliance consultation
• Home modification services by certified staff members to meet individual accessibility needs.
• Cognitive screening and testing to allow for better case management of clients and caregivers
• Other specialty areas including: wheelchair clinics, massage therapy , and lymphedema specialists
• Specialties in the areas of vision and driving (coming soon)
The Centrex model is based on the premise that senior service providers receiving these integrated therapy services from one provider can reduce the cost of care and administration, and eliminate billing/service crossovers.
Currently, Centrex Rehab employs 200 therapists (300 expected by 2013) and can provide a wide range of therapy services to diverse clientele in many distinct settings —from senior living communities and small hospitals, to schools and clinics.
“Our unique model of care and robust team of therapists allow us to adeptly integrate into our clients’ facilities,” says Kristy Brown, CEO. “If it is preferred, we can also operate under their brand name.” High employee satisfaction and retention rates result in quality, consistent care.
Centrex Rehab was developed by Augustana Care and Ebenezer, which is part of Fairview Health Services, and will continue their strong reputation of quality care and innovation.
